Actor Vaibhav Speaks About Ajith, Mankatha & His Upcoming Projects
Actor Vaibhav Speaks About Ajith, Mankatha & His Upcoming ProjectsPublished in Times Of India daily paper dated Dec 06, 2010 He made a mark as SP Charan's younger brother in his Tamil debut, Venkat Prabhu's Saroja. In Goa, he dramatically transformed from a village lad to a spunky Goan youth. In both these ventures, Vaibhav remained unlucky in love. But now, the tables have turned and the actor is romancing not one but two actresses in his next project, Eesan. Needless to say, he's grinning from ear-to-ear. "Yes, I've two girls for company in this film. I play a cool, urban college student who loves to live life on his own terms. Director Sasikumar wanted someone who looked like a party animal. And since I'm that off-screen, he thought that I would fit the bill. In fact, Sasi said that he was looking for someone like me even when I was shooting for Goa," begins Vaibhav. The actor, who started off his career in Tamil under the direction of his good friend Venkat Prabhu, reveals that Sasikumar was quite a taskmaster. "Both are extremely different when it comes to work. I never really felt that I was working while shooting with Venkat Prabhu. But Sasi was quite strict on the sets. He kept looking for perfection and would not let me relax until he got the right shot. However, he was a really cool person to work with." Vaibhav joins Venkat's gang once again with Ajith's Mankatha, in which he essays a vital role. "I have not yet started shooting with Ajith sir but I'm way too scared. Though he is a humble person and has no airs of being star, the very thought of acting with him is making me nervous. Since it's going to be a gangster subject, I have to really look tough in front of Ajith sir. Venkat Prabhu has asked me to put on weight. From the moment he said those words, I've been only eating and sleeping," he chuckles. The actor, who has done solo hero projects in Telugu, is yet to sign similar ones in Tamil. Quiz him why and pat comes the reply, "I am receiving offers but I do not want to take up a project just for the sake of it. I want to make my debut as a solo hero in Tamil with a bang. I'm not in a hurry." |

Mankatha’ is rolling faster on floors
Thala’s 50th film ‘Mankatha’ is rolling faster on floors now. Having a long time to complete the preproduction works, Venkat Prabhu promises of not taking any breaks now. In fact, he wouldn’t delay even a moment from the shooting.
The first schedule went on floors before couple of weeks, where song featuring Ajith Kumar and Trisha was shot by cinematographer Sakthi Saravanan. According to the closer sources, they have said that the costumes were stunningly cool and it gave a beauteous look for stylish Thala and gorgeous Trisha.
Now Venkat Prabhu and stunt master Selva are planning to shoot a breathtaking action sequences in Chennai. It will kick-start soon and is expected to be shot with the best visuals. Thala has already shed so much of weight hitting gyms regularly. This has made Selva to design some unforeseen stunts from Ajith Kumar.
Game of Mankatha in New York
As the script changes, the locations too changes. Producer Dayanidhi Azhagiri wanted this film to be bigger than before like any of his projects. And now, it’s getting in the same way. Previously Venkat Prabhu had announced that the film’s shooting will be held only in cosmopolitan cities of Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad and other places of India.
Now with accordance to the changes and modifications in script, there are more changes in locations as well.
It seems that major portions of the film will be shot in New York and the posters have been released as well.
Our ‘Thala’ always boasts of a great style with the scenic backdrops of foreign locations. It was evident with ‘Billa’, ‘Aegan’ and ‘Aasal’. Now Venkat Prabhu promises to present ‘Thala’ in a differently grander way.
special cameras for billa 2
Vishnuvardhan has become so busy these days that he has been persistently working on preproduction phase of ‘Billa-2’. The filmmaker shot to global fame only with ‘Billa’ and is now looking forward to make the film’s second part with much specified technical factors.
It seems that both Vishnuvardhan and cinematographer Nirav Shah are researching on the best cameras used by Hollywood technicians. This is because the producers want to shoot the film with the best technical details.
This is worth mentioning that the camera was one of the biggest highlights in ‘Billa’ and now it will get grander and stunning.
The shooting of ‘Billa-2’ will start only in April and before that ‘Thala’ will complete the filming of his 50th film ‘Mankatha’.
